Dave Linane
My name is Dave Linane and approximately 28 years ago I broke my neck while playing college football and I have been paralyzed from the neck down since Nov. 6, 1973. In the fall of 1991, I returned to school to get my bachelors degree and a masters in vocational rehabilitation counseling. During these ten years I learned about the company Voice Solutions® and its owner John Klabius.

If you don't know, an individual who is considered to be a quadriplegic does not have the use of their hands. This means I cannot operate the keyboard or the mouse of a computer. With the new computer, software, and training I received through Voice Solutions, I have complete access to my computer with the use of Voice Commands.

I am presently employed as an educational counselor for disabled students at a Southern California community college. Part of my job is accessing the campus network in order to pull down transcripts, schedules, or educational plans for individual students. This is all done from my office with the use of a voice-activated computer using the software NaturallySpeaking® Professional Edition. I also dictate all of my notes for the session completed with each individual student.

With the help of Voice Solutions and the use of voice recognition technology, I am now employed and connected with the world.
